Top 5 phones with the highest radiation are below, what do you think about this?
The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel released testing results for electromagnetic radiation levels of cellphones. Cell phone antennas release a form of energy called radiofrequency (RF) waves. RF waves are a form of non-ionizing radiation. Rather than damaging DNA inside of cells, like stronger types of ionizing radiation, like x-rays and UV light, RF waves (at high levels) can heat up body tissues (like a microwave).
Associate Director for the NIH Toxicology Program (National Institutes of Health), said, ““As of now, with only 10-12 years exposure, and use increasing dramatically, there is a concern of increase in brain cancer, related to use."
Concerns also include higher risk levels for children, due to deeper penetration of radiation.
What can you do to decrease risk? The closer the antenna is to the head, the greater the exposure.
- Limit the amount of time spent on a phone
• Use a hands free device, or speakerphone
• Distance to cell towers (farther away, or inside a building requires more energy)
• Amount of cell phone traffic (higher traffic requires more energy)
• Phone Model (different levels of energy with phone models)
The amount of RF energy absorbed into the body is called the specific absorption rate (SAR). Cell phone manufacturers are required to report the maximum SAR level for their products to the FCC (US Federal Communications Commission). However, levels for the SAR value is configured to the phone operating at its highest power (not normal use). More info: monthlydietrecepies.press and cancer.org
