Did you know that the Natural Products Association defines “natural’” as ingredients that come from, or are made from renewable resources found in nature?

Interesting… companies are looking into microalga as a source of fatty acids for the cosmetics industry. Industry sources say they are appealing as they can be grown in “bioreactors”.  That sounds intimidating! They have high growth rates and apparently can be manipulated to produce higher lipid contents, which have an impact on the skin barrier and tissues.
